Select desired date from the form below to view range-time-parameter plots of fitted data for the available radars. Click the Browse by Radar button to alternatively browse by available dates for a selected radar.
Once a date and radar are chosen, a selection of beams available will appear. For radars utilising different channels, an option to choose a channel will appear once the radar and beam is selected. An option to select a slice number for radars implementing the new Borealis system will appear once a radar and beam are chosen. If on a certain day only one channel or one slice is utilised, this plot will automatically be displayed without requiring a choice of channel or slice. The plots are made using the pyDARN data visualisation python library.
The plots show signal to noise ratio (dB), velocity (ms-1), spectral width (ms-1), and elevation (°) with respect to the range gate number and date. In addition, sky noise (dB), operating frequency of the radar (MHz), number of pulsed sequences transmitted (Nave), and the mode of operation (CPID) are shown in the first three panels. These plots are intended for quick-look use and are not for publication.
